–OUR STORY–
Whoomus Foods is a new hummus brand that is traditionally inspired from Mediterranean flavors and locally crafted by our founder and chef. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, our founder created this company to share a family recipe he brought to the United States from Egypt.
We were inspired to create Whoomus Foods because the hummus of today has drifted from the traditional recipe. Whoomus Foods wants to reintroduce you to hummus and give you an opportunity to fall in love with a new, exciting taste. Our hummus pairs well with pita, sandwiches, and veggies. Well-balanced. We have ten ingredients or less, allowing you to know exactly what you are putting in your body. Our hummus is made fresh locally in Charlotte, North Carolina and contains no preservatives. We are gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan.

Original. Many ask, “why is our whoomus so different than hummus found in the grocer?” We are proud that our hummus is our owner’s family recipe which dates back several generations from Cairo, Egypt. Our hummus is delicious, plant-based food that crosses cultural and geographic boundaries – food that is both nourishing and enjoyed universally, especially those that are gluten or dairy sensitive.
Opportunity. The hummus’ varieties of today have drifted from the tradition and symbolism of the old ways and this is why we formed Whoomus Foods.

Sustainable. Whoomus Foods is an environmentally conscious brand. We want to do our part to help the environment by producing a product that reduces reliance on factory farming - the conditions in which animals are raised year-round, in huge numbers, for the meat industry.
